TomTom adds a directional arrow to your screen that guides you toward any coordinates you set — similar to a sat-nav system. When you’re following a leveling guide, hunting a rare mob, or farming a specific resource, TomTom tells you exactly which way to go and how far away your destination is.

It also puts your X/Y coordinates on the world map and minimap, which is incredibly useful when guide sites like Wowhead tell you “find it at 42, 67.”

How to Install TomTom

Option 1 — CurseForge App (Easiest)

1. Download and install the CurseForge App
2. Select your WoW version (Retail, TBC Classic, WotLK, etc.)
3. Search TomTom and click Install

1. Download the latest file from CurseForge
2. Extract the zip file
3. Copy the TomTom folder into your WoW addons directory:
   • TBC Classic: World of Warcraft\_classic_tbc_\Interface\AddOns\
   • WotLK Classic: World of Warcraft\_classic_\Interface\AddOns\
   • Retail: World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface\AddOns\
4. Launch WoW, click AddOns at the character select screen, and make sure TomTom is enabled

How to Use TomTom — Setting Waypoints

Once installed, using TomTom is straightforward. There are three ways to set a waypoint:

Method 1 — Click the World Map
Open your world map and simply click anywhere on it. TomTom will immediately set a waypoint and point the arrow toward it.

Method 2 — Use the /way Command
Type /way X Y in chat to drop a waypoint at specific coordinates. For example:
/way 52 38 places a waypoint at position 52, 38 in your current zone.

You can also specify a zone:
/way Hellfire Peninsula 52 38 My Waypoint

Method 3 — Paste from Wowhead with /ttpaste
If you’re copying a list of coordinates from a guide, type /ttpaste to open a paste window where you can drop in multiple /way lines at once. TomTom queues them all up automatically.

TomTom Not Working — How to Fix It

If TomTom isn’t behaving as expected, these are the most common fixes:

Arrow not showing

• Make sure a waypoint is actually set — the arrow only appears when there’s an active destination
• Type /way reset all then set a new waypoint
• Type /reload to refresh the UI

TomTom not showing up in addon list

• On the character select screen, click AddOns and check Load Out of Date Addons
• Make sure the addon files are in the correct folder for your WoW version

Coordinates not appearing on map

• Open /tomtom settings and make sure coordinate display is enabled
• Type /reload after changing settings

Arrow stuck or waypoint won’t clear

• Type /way reset all in chat, then /reload
• If using TomTom alongside a leveling guide addon, the guide addon may be controlling the waypoint — check its settings

Conflict with other addons

• If Carbonite or another navigation addon is installed, they may fight over the /way command — use /tway for TomTom specifically
