What Is Player Housing?
Player Housing is Midnight’s permanent housing system, letting every account claim a fully customizable home in one of two neighborhood zones. Each neighborhood holds around 50 plots per instance, and new instances open automatically once one fills up, so there’s always room for a new house.
Do You Need Midnight to Access Player Housing?
Yes. Owning the Midnight expansion is required to claim a plot and build a house. Players without Midnight can still visit neighborhoods and collect some decor from world content, but can’t purchase a plot until they upgrade.

- 3️⃣ Take the portal to Founder’s Point, the Alliance-themed neighborhood.
How to Get to Player Housing from Orgrimmar (Razorwind Shores)
Horde players follow the same pattern in their own capital:
- 1️⃣ Head to the Pathfinder’s Den, Orgrimmar’s portal room.
- 2️⃣ Look for the housing portal, also repositioned to the front of the room in patch 11.2.7.
- 3️⃣ Take the portal to Razorwind Shores, the Horde-themed neighborhood off the coast of Durotar.
How to Get to Player Housing from Oribos
Oribos has no direct portal to either housing neighborhood. Use the portal back to Orgrimmar or Stormwind first, then take the housing portal from your faction’s portal room.
How to Get to Player Housing from Valdrakken
Same story here — there’s no direct Valdrakken portal to Founder’s Point or Razorwind Shores. Return to Orgrimmar or Stormwind first, then head into the portal room for the housing portal.

Can You Visit the Opposite Faction’s Neighborhood?

- ✅ Once you complete the housing intro on one faction, your opposite-faction alts automatically gain access to the other neighborhood.
- 🎯 To initially purchase a plot in Founder’s Point, you need an Alliance character. To purchase in Razorwind Shores, you need a Horde character.
- ✅ Once a house exists, any character on your Warband — regardless of faction — can visit, decorate, and hang out there.
- ✅ Each Warband can own up to two houses total: one in each neighborhood.
Fastest Way Home: The Housing Dashboard Teleport
Once you own a house, you don’t need to walk to a portal room every time:
- ⚡ Open the Housing Dashboard with the default hotkey H.
- ⚡ Click the Teleport Home button in the top-right corner to jump straight to your house, defaulting to whichever neighborhood you visited last.
- ⚡ If you own houses in both neighborhoods, use the dropdown menu to pick which one to teleport to.
- 🎯 Teleport Home has a 15-minute cooldown, but it can also send you right back to your previous location afterward.
