Maldraxxus isn’t available the moment you arrive in Oribos. As the second leveling zone in Shadowlands, its portal only appears once you’ve made progress in the first one.

1. Complete Shadowlands: A Chilling Summons and the Maw intro scenario to reach Oribos for the first time.
2. Finish enough of the Bastion storyline to trigger the Threads of Fate breadcrumb.
3. Speak with Tal-Inara in Oribos and accept the Maldraxxus scouting map quest — this permanently opens the Gate to Maldraxxus portal for your character.

🎯 Tip: Once unlocked, the Maldraxxus portal stays open on that character forever, even if you switch covenants later.

How to Get to Maldraxxus from Oribos

This is the main route for every player, regardless of faction.
