WeakAuras is a flexible display framework that shows custom icons, bars, and animations for buffs, debuffs, cooldowns, procs, and resources — all on a clean overlay you position yourself. If you want a full overview of how the addon works, check out our WeakAuras guide.
Shaman has some of the most complex tracking requirements in the game. A solid WeakAura pack handles things the default UI simply cannot:
- ✅ Totem timers with expiry warnings and missing totem alerts
- ✅ Windfury Totem twist countdown for Enhancement
- ✅ Maelstrom Weapon stack counter
- ✅ Flame Shock DoT refresh timer
- ✅ Elemental Focus / Clearcast proc alerts
- ✅ Earth Shield stacks + target name for Restoration
- ✅ Bloodlust / Heroism cooldown and status
Instead of building from scratch, you import community-made packs from Wago.io — the go-to hub for WeakAura strings.
How to Install Shaman WeakAuras — Step by Step
🛠️ Make sure the WeakAuras addon is installed and up to date before importing any pack.
- Install WeakAuras 2 via CurseForge or the Wago App.
- Log into WoW on your Shaman and type /wa in chat to open the panel.
- Go to Wago.io, find your preferred Shaman pack, and click the copy button for the import string.
- Back in-game, click Import (top-left), paste with Ctrl+V, then click Import Group.
- Drag the auras to your preferred position on screen.
- Type /reload after any talent changes to make sure your auras load correctly.
⚡ Tip: For Enhancement in TBC/WotLK, some swing timer auras require the SwingTimerAPI addon as a dependency — check the Wago pack description for requirements before importing.
WeakAuras for Shaman — WoW Classic & Hardcore
In WoW Classic (Era and Hardcore), Shaman is a cornerstone healer and utility class. Enhancement and Elemental see play in dungeons and leveling, but the priority on WeakAuras is totem tracking, mana management, and Five Second Rule (FSR) monitoring.
Enhancement Shaman WeakAuras — WoW Classic

Elemental Shaman WeakAuras — WoW Classic
Track Flame Shock uptime on target, Lightning Shield stacks, Clearcasting proc, and a Mana Bar with FSR indicator for downtime prevention.
Restoration Shaman WeakAuras — WoW Classic
Track Earth Shield stacks + current target, Mana Tide Totem cooldown, Nature’s Swiftness cooldown, and totem timers for all four elements.
🎯 Recommended pack: Luxthos Classic Era Shaman — covers all three specs with conditional loading based on your active spec and talents.

The Burning Crusade is where Shaman WeakAuras become truly essential. Enhancement introduces Totem Twisting — one of the most timing-critical mechanics in classic WoW — and Elemental steps up as a viable raid DPS. Restoration remains a cornerstone healer with Earth Shield and Chain Heal throughput.
Enhancement Shaman WeakAuras — TBC Classic
Must-track auras: Windfury Totem twist countdown (10-second window), weapon enchant sync (Windfury vs Flametongue/Rockbiter), Stormstrike cooldown, Shamanistic Rage, Flurry stacks, and Flame Shock duration on target. A Windfury ICD bar on the Stormstrike button is highly recommended for maximising proc uptime.
🎯 Recommended pack: Shaman All-In-One HUD (TBC Anniversary) — supports all three specs, includes totem timers, weapon enchant tracking, shield tracker, and spec-specific auras. Updated specifically for TBC Anniversary servers.

Tips for Configuring Your Shaman WeakAuras
⚡ Move the whole pack: Type /wa, click the main group, then drag to reposition. All linked sub-auras follow automatically.
⚡ Rescale everything at once: Open the Group tab inside the WA panel and adjust Group Scale — every aura in the group scales proportionally.
⚡ Show cooldown numbers: Go to Interface → Action Bars and enable Show Numbers for Cooldowns.
⚡ Swing timer dependency: If your Enhancement pack shows no swing timer, check if it requires SwingTimerAPI as a separate addon — this is listed in the Wago pack description.
⚡ Reload after talent changes: Always type /reload after switching talents so conditionally loaded auras pick up the correct spells.
