TBC Classic Paladin macros are one of the biggest gaps between a Paladin who performs and one who excels. Whether you’re a Holy Paladin keeping your tank alive through a Serpentshrine Cavern boss, a Retribution Paladin threading the needle on seal twisting, or a Protection Paladin AoE-tanking Kara trash — the right macros shave reaction time, clean up your bars, and let you focus on the actual fight instead of hunting buttons.

This guide covers the most important macros for all three Paladin specs in The Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary Edition, including how to create them, why each one matters, and spec-specific setups for PvE raids, dungeons, and PvP arenas.

How to Create a Macro in TBC Classic

Before diving into the macros themselves, here’s the quick setup process every Paladin needs to know:

1. Press Esc to open the Game Menu and select Macros.
2. Click New at the bottom of the window.
3. Give your macro a name and pick an icon (use ? for auto-icon based on the first spell).
4. Type or paste your macro commands into the text field.
5. Click Save, then drag the macro icon to your action bar and assign a keybind.

🎯 Tip: TBC Classic allows up to 36 account-wide macros and 18 character-specific macros. Use character-specific slots for spec-dependent macros so they don’t conflict when you dual-spec between Holy and Ret.

Holy Paladin Macros (PvE Healing — Raids & Dungeons)

Holy Paladin is one of the best single-target tank healers in TBC Classic Anniversary. Your macro setup revolves around speed: instant Blessing swaps, mouseover heals, and emergency responses without clicking around your UI.

Mouseover Healing Macro

The most important macro for any Holy Paladin. Hover your mouse over a raid frame or nameplate and cast without switching your active target. Works for both Holy Light and Flash of Light — just swap the spell name.

Retribution Paladin has one of the most mechanically involved rotations in TBC Classic Anniversary. Seal twisting — swapping from Seal of Righteousness or Seal of Command into Seal of Blood (Horde) or Seal of the Martyr (Alliance) within the last 0.4 seconds of your swing — is the defining skill of the spec and can account for a 20–25% DPS increase when done consistently.
