As long as progression guilds are clearing content, someone needs to supply the Flask of Relentless Assault, Flask of Fortification, and everything in between. Elixir Master is the Alchemy specialization that lets you profit from that demand with a chance to produce bonus flasks and elixirs for free. This guide covers the quest, the best crafts, and whether this specialization is right for you in TBC Classic Anniversary 2026.
What Is Elixir Master?
Elixir Master is one of three Alchemy specializations in TBC Classic. It gives every elixir and flask you craft a chance to produce 1 to 4 bonus items at no extra material cost. Over a large number of crafts, this averages out to roughly a 17% increase in output — meaning more product for the same herbs you buy or farm.
The key thing to know: Flasks count as elixirs in TBC Classic, so they benefit from this proc too. Since flasks are the most expensive consumables in the game and every serious raider needs them, Elixir Master can generate serious gold during active progression phases.
The other two specializations are Transmutation Master and Potion Master.

How to Become an Elixir Master
The Elixir Master quest is the most time-consuming of the three specializations — not because it costs a lot of gold, but because the key drop in Black Morass has a frustratingly low drop rate. Plan on multiple runs.
Step 1 — Start the Quest in Hellfire Peninsula
Talk to your faction’s Alchemy trainer:
- ⚔️ Alliance: Alchemist Gribble in Honor Hold (coords: 53.8, 65.8)
- ⚔️ Horde: Apothecary Antonivich in Thrallmar (coords: 53.0, 35.6)
Accept the first part of Master of Elixirs.
Step 2 — Travel to Shattrath and Find Lorokeem
Lorokeem is the neutral Alchemy trainer located in the Lower City of Shattrath (coords: 45.6, 21.6). Hand in the first part of the quest and pick up part two from him.
Step 3 — Farm Black Morass
This is the step that slows people down. Lorokeem needs:
- 🔑 10x Essence of Infinity — dropped by Rift Lords and Rift Keepers inside The Black Morass (Caverns of Time). The drop rate is low, so budget for 3–4 runs minimum.
On top of that, you need to bring these crafted elixirs:
The elixirs are straightforward to craft if your skill is already at 325+. The Essences are the real time investment.
🎯 Tip: Many players skip this entirely and instead do the cheaper Potion Master quest first, then switch to Elixir Master by paying 150g to unlearn. You save all the Black Morass runs and get the same result.
Step 4 — Turn In to Lorokeem
Hand in all the materials to Lorokeem and you’ll receive the Elixir Master specialization.
Switching to Elixir Master
Already have a different specialization? Just pay 150g to your current trainer to unlearn it, then visit Lorokeem directly — no quest needed the second time. This is why most experienced players do the cheapest quest first and switch later.
Best Flasks and Elixirs to Craft
As an Elixir Master, you want to be crafting high-demand, high-margin items. Here’s what’s consistently in demand in TBC Classic Anniversary:

💡 A key thing to understand: in TBC Classic, Flasks count as both a Battle Elixir and a Guardian Elixir simultaneously. This means players who use a flask cannot use regular elixirs on top. For players who run regular elixir stacks instead of flasks, you can sell both a Battle and a Guardian elixir to the same person.
Gold-Making Strategy for Elixir Master
The biggest strength of Elixir Master is timing. Raid nights on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are when flask and elixir demand spikes hard. Pre-listing your stock a couple of hours before typical raid start times (6–8 PM server time) consistently yields better prices than selling at random hours.

Is Elixir Master Right for You?
Elixir Master rewards players who are active in the economy and willing to time their crafts around raid schedules. If you’re supplying your own guild with consumables regularly, or you enjoy playing the Auction House, this specialization has real upside. The volume of raider demand in TBC Classic Anniversary means there’s always a market.
If you’d rather something more passive that requires almost no AH engagement, Transmutation Master is probably the better fit. And if you’re just starting out and want the cheapest route in, Potion Master is the easiest quest by far.
