The Caverns of Time sit on the eastern coast of Tanaris and act as a crossroads for several key dungeons and raids across Warcraft’s history, guarded by Nozdormu and the bronze dragonflight. In Retail, both capitals now have a direct portal straight there. In TBC Classic and beyond, you’ll either fly out to Tanaris the old-fashioned way or unlock a faster teleport through reputation.

How to Get to Caverns of Time from Orgrimmar

Retail

  1. Head into Orgrimmar’s Portal Room and take the passage down to the lower level.
  2. Look for the Caverns of Time portal, located between the Shattrath and Ashran portals.
  3. The portal drops you right outside the entrance to the Caverns.

Classic

  1. Take the flight path to Gadgetzan in Tanaris if you already have it unlocked.
  2. From Gadgetzan, head south along the coast to reach the Caverns of Time entrance (roughly 62, 50 on the Tanaris map).
  3. If you don’t have the Gadgetzan flight path yet, fly or ride south through the Barrens into Tanaris instead.
  4. In TBC Classic, once you’ve reached Revered with the Keepers of Time, you can skip all of this by speaking with Zephyr at the World’s End Tavern in Shattrath City for a direct teleport.
