- Chapter 2 of your Covenant campaign + Chains of Domination storyline progress

Good news: alts have a much faster path to Zereth Mortis.
Alt Requirements:
- Level 60
- Join a Covenant
- Complete Chapter 1 of your Covenant campaign
Alt Shortcut Steps:
- Speak to Highlord Bolvar Fordragon in Oribos.
- Skip the 2nd Torghast chapter via his dialogue option.
- Accept The First Move, then speak to Bolvar again and select “Skip Ahead to Korthia.”
- Call of the Primus will now be available — accept it and head to Zereth Mortis.
✅ Once you’ve unlocked Zereth Mortis on one character, returning is instant: just use the permanent portal in Oribos on your 2nd floor at /way 49.5 27.0.
How to Return to Zereth Mortis (Already Unlocked)
If you’ve already done the intro questline and just need to get back:
From Stormwind / Orgrimmar:
Portal Room → Oribos → 2nd Floor → Zereth Mortis Portal (/way 49.5 27.0)
From Zereth Mortis back to Oribos:
Use the obelisk at the Geometric Cavern, just outside Haven — it teleports you straight back to Oribos.
Engineer Bonus: Wormhole to Zereth Mortis
If your character is an Engineer, you can unlock a Zereth Mortis destination for your Wormhole Generator: Shadowlands by obtaining Enlightened Portal Research — a rare drop from Enlightened paragon caches (requires Exalted with The Enlightened).
⚡ This is optional and slow to obtain, but great for Engineers who are already Exalted.
