Harandar is one of the new leveling zones added in World of Warcraft: Midnight, and it’s also the home of the Haranir Allied Race. Unlike almost every other zone in the game, Harandar has no flight paths and no permanent slot in the main Horde/Alliance portal rooms, which is why so many players get stuck trying to find their way back in. This guide covers every way to reach Harandar — whether you’re starting fresh from Silvermoon City, flying in from Orgrimmar or Stormwind, or coming from Dornogal, Zul’Aman, or Voidstorm.
Quick Answer: Fastest Way to Harandar
| Situation | Route |
|---|---|
| First time ever | Silvermoon City → Scouting Map quest → Fairbreeze Village → The Root Cause |
| Already unlocked, campaign in progress | Fly/hearth to Fairbreeze Village → portal at 45.34, 47.28 |
| Campaign fully completed | Silvermoon City → Gardens of Remembrance portal at 36.87, 68.22 |
| From another capital (Orgrimmar, Stormwind, Dornogal) | Portal to Silvermoon City first, then follow the steps above |
🗺️ How to Unlock Harandar for the First Time
You can’t just walk or fly into Harandar — it’s gated behind a short quest chain that opens the way in:
- Head to Silvermoon City and open the Midnight Scouting Map near the Sanctum of Light.
- Pick up the Harandar quest.
- This sends you to Fairbreeze Village in Eversong Woods to speak with Orweyna.
- Completing that step hands you The Root Cause, which opens a one-way rootway portal straight into Harandar.

You need to be Level 83+ to start this chain, and the Harandar campaign itself is designed for levels 83–88.
How to Get to Harandar from Silvermoon City
Silvermoon City is your main hub for Harandar, but the exact route depends on how far you’ve progressed:
- Mid-campaign: There’s no dedicated Harandar portal in Silvermoon’s main portal room yet. Set your Hearthstone to Fairbreeze Village (or fly there) and use the Portal to Harandar at roughly 45.34, 47.28, on the hill near the trees.
- After finishing the campaign: Once you earn the One Does Not Simply Walk into Harandar achievement, a permanent portal appears in Silvermoon itself, in the Gardens of Remembrance (west side of the city, near the Sanctum of Light) at 36.87, 68.22. From that point on, this is by far the fastest way in.
How to Get to Harandar from Eversong Woods
If you’re already in Eversong Woods, you’re closer than anyone else:
- Fly or ride straight to Fairbreeze Village.
- Walk up the small hill to 45.34, 47.28.
- Step through the portal — this works both for your first entry (after picking up the quest) and every return trip afterward, until the portal relocates to Silvermoon.

How to Get to Harandar from Orgrimmar
Horde players starting in Orgrimmar don’t have a direct line to Harandar:
- Use the portal room in Orgrimmar to travel to Silvermoon City.
- From Silvermoon, either fly to Fairbreeze Village or use the Gardens of Remembrance portal if you’ve already unlocked it.
There’s no shortcut here — Silvermoon is always the middle step.
How to Get to Harandar from Stormwind
Alliance characters follow the same logic as Horde:
- Take the portal from Stormwind’s portal room to Silvermoon City (added with the Midnight pre-patch alongside the other capital portals).
- Continue on to Fairbreeze Village or the Gardens of Remembrance portal, depending on your campaign progress.
How to Get to Harandar from Dornogal (Khaz Algar)
Coming from Dornogal, the current Dragonflight/War Within hub, adds one extra hop:
- From Dornogal, use the portal room to reach Orgrimmar or Stormwind.
- From either capital, take the portal to Silvermoon City.
- Head to Fairbreeze Village (or use the Gardens of Remembrance portal once unlocked) to enter Harandar.
It’s a longer trip than starting from Silvermoon directly, so consider setting your Hearthstone to Silvermoon or Fairbreeze Village if you’ll be running this route often.
How to Get to Harandar from Zul’Aman
Zul’Aman is one of the other new Midnight zones, but it doesn’t connect directly to Harandar either:
- Fly back to Silvermoon City (Zul’Aman sits close by, so this is a short flight).
- From there, follow the standard route to Fairbreeze Village or the Gardens of Remembrance portal.
How to Get to Harandar from Voidstorm (Without a Portal)
This is the one that trips a lot of players up. The Voidstorm portal sits right next to the Harandar portal in Silvermoon’s Gardens of Remembrance — but there is no direct portal between the two zones. If you’re standing in Voidstorm and need to reach Harandar:
- Use your Hearthstone or the Voidstorm portal to return to Silvermoon City.
- From Silvermoon, use the Harandar portal (Gardens of Remembrance, 36.87, 68.22) or fly to Fairbreeze Village if you haven’t unlocked the in-city portal yet.
There’s no way to skip Silvermoon on this route — treat it as your central hub for both zones.
📍 Harandar Portal Coordinates
| Location | Coordinates | When It’s Available |
|---|---|---|
| Fairbreeze Village, Eversong Woods | 45.34, 47.28 | From your first visit until the campaign is finished |
| Gardens of Remembrance, Silvermoon City | 36.87, 68.22 | After earning One Does Not Simply Walk into Harandar |
✅ Quick Tips
- ✅ Set your Hearthstone to Fairbreeze Village early on — it saves a long flight every time you get pulled out of Harandar.
- ✅ Once you finish the campaign, re-set your Hearthstone to Silvermoon City for the faster Gardens of Remembrance portal.
- ❌ Don’t expect a flight path inside Harandar — there isn’t one, at least not yet.
- 🎯 If your character isn’t Level 83, you won’t be able to pick up the unlocking quest at all — finish leveling in Eversong Woods first.
Note: Harandar is exclusive to WoW Midnight (Patch 12.0.1+) on Retail. It has no equivalent in WoW Classic.
